When reloading it is unavoidable
that sooner or later you have the
need to remove some
ball from the finished shot. To do
this has always been used
conventional tools: hammer
kinetic, press bullet puller
or the so-called “pliers”. Two of
these need to be used
of the press while the first
makes a lot of noise but
above all it does not leave the powder in the case. This gear
made by PMA Tool based on a project by John Crawford, it is used
by hand without the aid of presses or other tools. Just enter
the shot in the appropriate hole, close the clamp and start deflecting
the shell housing. In a couple of turns you will have the case in
hand with the powder still in it and the ball blocked
in the grip. Made to measure for the specific caliber, it allows
to damage the ball as little as possible, even if it is advised not to
reuse the disassembled balls for your important matches, but
use them as a sighter or to foul the barrel.
