The OTS-XLT monocular supports video recording functions and take photographs, 4 thermal contrast colors and 3 digital zoom levels. The device is equipped with a 160x120px 50Hz 17 micron thermal sensor and is offered in two lens/magnification variants: 2-8x with 19mm lens; 2.5-10x with 25mm lens.

The other functions supported by the OTS-XLT monocular are the geometric rangefinder to detect the distance to the target in two simple steps; and the "heat tracking" function for tracing the point with the highest temperature in the observation scene.
