Digital camera

MAGUS CHD40 is an HDMI digital camera with three video interfaces and automatic switching between Full HD and 4K based on the monitor resolution.
The camera is equipped with an 8 MP sensor and produces realistic images at a 4K resolution (3840x2160 px ) when connected via HDMI or USB 3.0. When connected via Wi-Fi, the image quality is Full HD (1920x1080 px).
The camera uses an HDMI interface to connect directly to a TV, monitor or projector. In this way, the camera operates independently without a connection to a PC. The HDMI interface enables fast and stable speed transfer from the camera to the external screen. You can connect the camera to a PC via Wi-Fi or USB 3.0. Video is recorded at 30 fps.
The camera combines high FPS rate and high HDMI bandwidth. The videos therefore appear brilliant without freezing or skipping between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors, and the moving object is displayed without delays.

Monitor

The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is designed to use a MAGUS microscope display system. It is connected to a camera mounted on the microscope to display real-time images. Supports cameras with HDMI connection and 4K resolution. The screen is 13.3 inches. The IPS matrix offers bright images with wide viewing angles. If you look at the display from the side the color reproduction is not distorted. You can place the display on a table or shelf using a folding stand or install it directly on the camera or microscope base.

Optics

The optics of the microscope is infinitely correct and is free from internal tensions. The image formed by the lens is authentic, glare-free, high-contrast and detailed. The lens is installed in a nosepiece with grooves centered on the optical axis. There are five grooves, with four lenses included in the kit; An additional objective can be installed to achieve further magnification within the magnification range of the microscope. The objectives are designed to work with specimens without coverslips.

The trinocular head allows you to install a digital camera in the trinocular tube. The beam split is 100:0 or 0:100, meaning all the light goes to the camera or eyepiece tubes. The left eyepiece tube is equipped with a diopter adjustment ring: it is rotated to compensate for the difference in vision between the eyes and to obtain the clearest possible image of the specimen.

Illumination

strong>

30W halogen lamps are used for transmitted and reflected light. Their brightness is sufficient to obtain a clearly readable image on each lens, and the “warm” emission spectrum is comfortable during long-term use. The Köhler illumination setting will provide greater resolution and remove artifacts in the field of view and darkening at the edges. Light filters are used to fine-tune color reproduction when working in reflected light.

Polarization is available for both transmitted and reflected light. To begin observations in polarized light, an analyzer is introduced into the optical path. Next, the relative position of the analyzer and polarizer is changed by rotating them, which also changes the polarization angle. The contrast of objects is increased with the help of compensators installed in a special housing in the intermediate tube. The same attachment also contains a Bertrand lens which is used for Conopic examinations.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The microscope has a rotatable stage: rotating it changes how the sample refracts light in the presence of polarized light. The stage is equipped with a scale on which the angle of rotation can be determined with an accuracy of up to 0.1°. To get the brightest and clearest image, the stage can be centered on the optical axis of the microscope.

The coarse and fine focus knobs are located at the bottom of the stand, so the user can assume a relaxed pose with hands on the table. The coarse tension can be adjusted and there is also a coarse focus lock. The fine focus ensures smooth movement of the sample.

Accessories

To make the most of the microscope, use accessories from the MAGUS line: objective eyepieces, calibration slides, digital cameras, etc.
