MAGUS Bio 260T biological microscope - MAGUS
MAGUS Bio 260T is a microscope for daily use in the laboratory, for scientific research or for training purposes. It works with thin transparent and translucent samples using the brightfield method. Additional components can be installed on the device to expand its functionality and use dark field, phase contrast, polarized and fluorescent light methods.
The model is equipped with a coded nosepiece that can accommodate up to five objectives. The “intelligent” illumination turns on automatically when the revolver is rotated and is adapted to the parameters of each objective. Thanks to this functionality, you do not waste time adjusting the light, which is a very important aspect in the training process or when you often have to change the magnification.

The “intelligent” illumination turns on automatically when the revolver is rotated and is adapted to the parameters of each objective. Thanks to this functionality, you do not waste time adjusting the light, which is a very important aspect in the training process or when you often have to change the magnification.
The microscope has a trinocular head that uses the of infinity optics. The pupil height is adjustable. The position is adjusted by rotating the tubes up to 360°. A digital camera is installed in a trinocular tube. The light is distributed to the camera and eyepieces at a 50/50 ratio. The microscope in the kit includes basic eyepieces from 10x to 22mm with a diopter adjustment mechanism. No adjustments are made to the tubes. Users who wear glasses can take advantage of the included rubber eyecups to protect the lenses from abrasion and scratches.
The 5-objective nosepiece nosepiece features an automatic illumination control system. When changing the magnification, the user may notice noticeable fluctuations in the light level in the eyepiece: objectives of various magnifications transmit light in different ways. Intelligent lighting allows you to set the light level for specific lenses only once; then, when the nosepiece is rotated, the light is automatically adjusted. The microscope kit includes 4 objectives; the user can place a target in the fifth slot, as needed. The parfocal distance is 60 mm. The slot above the nosepiece is used to install the analyzer; when the analyzer is not installed, the slot is closed with a plug.
The sample stage is designed with a belt motor: the sample is moved slowly and continuously. There is no positioning along the X axis, so using the microscope is more ergonomic and comfortable. The sample holder is secured by two screws, which can be removed when necessary. Another practical detail is the long control handle of the coffee table. The microscope can be used with your hands resting on the table, without fatigue for your arms and body.
The condenser can be adjusted to the desired position, both vertically and along the optical axis (with a tail mount swallow). The iris diaphragm is regulated by a ring: it is equipped with a mark, and the objective magnification indicators are visible on the condenser body. For the contrast image, the mark is set to work with the lens attached. The condenser can be equipped with a darkfield or phase contrast slider - there is a special slot for this.
The focusing of the microscope occurs via an initial coaxial adjustment and a fine adjustment with knobs. Initial focusing is done with the knobs on the left side. There are knobs to refine the focus on both sides; the one on the right side has special grooves for the fingers. An additional level of convenience is provided by the travel adjustment ring which allows you to conveniently adjust the tension of the coarse focus travel. The knobs and ring are located on the bottom of the stand: they can be controlled with your hands resting comfortably on the table.
The illumination of the microscope is made with a 3W LED mounted on a light illuminator transmitted. The lighting temperature remains stable even when the brightness varies. The optional research methods of this microscope include the use of Köhler illumination. This type of illumination allows the entire sample to be illuminated evenly and elements such as dust or the image of the light source are not visible through the eyepiece or digital camera.
The parameters can be viewed operation and adjust them with the integrated display. at the base of the microscope. The display indicates the magnification of the objective used, the illumination parameters, the operating mode and the automatic stop time.
Additional elements are available to expand the functionality of the device. A set of eyepieces can increase the magnification range. For additional methods of working with samples that are not observable with the bright field method, it is necessary to equip the microscope with a phase contrast device, a dark field slider, or a polarization device. A digital camera can help capture study results via photos or videos or display images on the screen. You can measure objects with a calibration slide and an eyepiece with a scale or a digital camera.
