MAGUS Bio 250B biological microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Bio 250B biological microscope is an optical instrument useful for studying thin transparent and semi-transparent samples. The main technique used for observations is bright field microscopy. This microscope can be equipped with additional accessories for observations in dark field, with phase contrast techniques or with polarized light. Thanks to its high-quality optics, with additional elements that can expand its capabilities, easy-to-use mechanisms and its intelligent design, this microscope is an excellent choice for laboratory work, research and teaching.

Optics
The binocular head allows you to house a digital camera in one of the optical tubes of the eyepieces (camera not included). The eyepiece tubes can be rotated 360° to conveniently adapt the instrument to the observer's height. The diopter adjustment ring is positioned on the left optical tube.
The nosepiece allows the installation of 5 objectives. The microscope is equipped with infinity planachromatic objectives that provide clear, contrast-rich images across the entire field of view. There is a single free slot in the nosepiece to accommodate an additional objective. The nosepiece, with its objectives, is oriented towards the inside of the instrument. In this way, the operator can see which objective is inserted in the optical path and the space above the stage remains free.
The microscope optics, in its basic configuration, provide a 40x magnification at 1000x. The use of additional eyepieces, if necessary, allows you to increase the upper limit of the magnification range.
Illumination
Light source: 30 halogen lamp W. This lamp provides bright, uniform sample illumination with any objective lens and observation method, including dark field and phase contrast techniques. The warm spectrum of the light emitted is pleasant to the eye and comfortable for the eyes, and avoids visual fatigue even in case of prolonged work under the microscope.
The Abbe condenser has a slot in which to insert a slider dark field or a phase contrast slider. The condenser design simplifies and speeds up the transition from one observation technique to another. The condenser is height adjustable and can be centred. The field diaphragm makes the setup of Köhler illumination possible.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The stage is equipped with an insert mechanical that can be removed to perform manual scans of the sample. There is no positioning rack, which guarantees the ergonomic movement of the stage.
The sharpness is regulated via two coaxial knobs for coarse and fine focusing (macro and micrometric), positioned on both sides of the microscope body. The focusing mechanism is smooth and precise: you don't need to exert any excessive force to turn the knobs. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. The focus knobs are located at the base of the microscope. This way, the operator can keep his hands resting on the table instead of having to adjust the tool with his arms in mid-air. This ensures greater comfort during long work sessions.

A wide range of accessories allows the MAGUS Bio 250B to be configured in the way more suitable for the user. In fact, eyepieces, lenses, instruments for dark field observations, with phase contrast or polarized light, calibration slides and digital cameras are available.
