MAGUS Bio 230BL is a binocular microscope with achromatic objectives and LED illumination for the observation of biological samples such as smears and thin sections. The observations are carried out using transmitted light (bright field) microscopy technique. The microscope can be equipped with additional accessories for observations in dark field, polarized light and phase contrast techniques. Application areas: pharmaceuticals, medicine, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, forensic science, agriculture, etc.
Optics
The optical tubes rotate 360°, which allows you to adapt the position of the eyepieces based on the height of the observer. On the left barrel there is a diopter adjustment ring. It is possible to house a digital camera (to be purchased separately) in place of the eyepiece, always in the left optical tube.
Since the nosepiece revolver has 5 slots, it is possible to add a fifth lens, in addition to those supplied , and obtain a higher maximum magnification. In its basic configuration, the microscope offers magnification ranging from 40x to 1000x, but the upper limit can be increased up to 1500x, 1600x or 2000x with the use of additional eyepieces. The microscope optics are corrected to infinity. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument.
Illumination
The light source for transmitted light observations is a 3 W LED, powered by AC mains. The color temperature remains unchanged at any brightness level and the life cycle of the LEDs is 50,000 hours.
The lighting is controlled by adjusting the field diaphragm and the aperture diaphragm, so it is possible to set up the Köhler illumination. The Abbe condenser is height adjustable and can be centered. You can insert a darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider into the appropriate slot on the condenser. The sliders make it easier for the user to switch between the various microscopy techniques.
Stage and focusing mechanism
You can move the object of study on the table thanks to a mechanical insert, which, if necessary, can be removed. The stage does not have a positioning rack, so the moving mechanism takes up less space.
Focusing is controlled by coaxial knobs for coarse and fine (macro- and fine) focusing. These knobs share the same axis (coaxial) on both sides of the microscope. Positioned at the base, they can be rotated comfortably and without any effort. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. Rotating the knobs is smooth and easy.
