The Levenhuk Discovery Micro is an entry-level biological microscope that allows you to observe transparent samples. These can be slides with ready-made samples, the microcosm that lives in a drop of water or freshly prepared slides. The microscope is small and lightweight, making it portable. As a result, you can use it not only at home, but also take it with you on trips or in the countryside.

Optical system
The magnification range varies from 40x to 640x, so it is not possible to observe bacteria or blood cells. However, this microscope allows you to see parts of animal and plant tissues, observe some types of cells, as well as examine parts of insects and tiny organisms that live in water. The microscope is equipped with three objective lenses (4x, 10x and 40x) and a 10x—16x two-position sliding eyepiece. The 45° tilted head makes prolonged observations more comfortable, and sharpness is manually adjustable using the coarse focus knobs. The microscope is easy to use, even for an inexperienced user.

Adjustable LED illumination system
Specimens are placed on the stage, where they can be secured with two clothespins. Below the table there is an LED light. Its use is recommended in case of insufficient natural light. Thanks to the battery power supply (not included), the lighting system can also be used away from a socket. The brightness of the lighting is adjustable. Furthermore, the size of the light beam can be adjusted using the disc diaphragm.

An educational book on the microcosm
The microscope is sold accompanied by the educational book “Mondo Invisible". This colorful book will illustrate the microcosm to young scientists. They will read chapters on the history of microscopy, microorganisms, and a variety of structures that can be seen under the microscope. The book not only presents interesting notions, but also experiments that can be carried out at home.

An important distinctive element of this microscope: it is sold accompanied by a Levenhuk Discovery Flora and Fauna set which includes 24 slides with already prepared samples.
