Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red light, spherical aberration is corrected for green light, and curvature of field is corrected to 90% of the diameter of the field of view.
The lens is corrected to infinity. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. When using a 10/22mm eyepiece, the diameter of the field of view will be 2.2mm. Designed to work with samples without cover glass.
The 10x metallurgical objective has a long working distance of 5 mm. The working distance is the distance from the front lens of the objective to the object of study, at which the image of the object is in focus. The objects of study may have a pronounced topography, for example, samples of printed circuit boards with different levels of electronic components and semiconductors. A large working distance prevents accidental damage to the front objective lens or the specimen during focusing and when the nosepiece is turned to change objectives.
The lower limit of the possible magnification of the microscope when using a 10х lens is 125x. A lower magnification would not allow you to distinguish lens details in the image produced by the lens. The upper limit of possible magnification when using a 10х lens is 250x. Higher magnification is considered "useless" because it does not provide new details in the image of the object.
With a 10х/0.25 objective, use eyepieces with a magnification of 12.5x to 25x.
Planachromatic lenses produce an image that is equally focused at the center and sides with minimal distortion. This feature is used to capture digital images and to use wide-field eyepieces with a 22 mm field of view.
