MAGUS SF5 5х/0.12 Plan Pol ∞/0.17 objective - MAGUS

The objective is installed on a polarizing microscope and operates under conditions of transmitted polarized light. It is equipped with optics that create neither distortions nor internal deformations, therefore the lenses do not influence the observation results.

The planachromatic lens eliminates optical distortions: chromatic aberration for the red and blue colors and spherical aberration for the green color. These types of lenses feature a 90% corrected field of view curvature. The image is displayed equally in the center and in the peripheral zone of the observation field, therefore, the lens is suitable for digital cameras (to obtain images with a large field of view) and wide-field eyepieces with a field of view of 22 mm.

The MAGUS SF5 lens is designed for an infinity corrected optical system. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. It is necessary to cover the sample with a 0.17 mm coverslip.

The possible magnification of a microscope with a 5x objective installed will range from 60x to 120x, depending on the magnification of the eyepiece. 10x to 25x eyepieces are recommended. A higher magnification will not provide new data, and a magnification lower than 60x will not allow you to examine the target in detail.
