The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Microscope makes a great gift for anyone interested in science and biology. This instrument allows you to observe and study familiar objects in your surroundings with a magnification of 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x and even 800x! With this microscope, you could discover the structure of plants, animals and humans; take a look at the life of microscopic organisms, normally hidden from our eyes, in their own micro universe; and, of course, doing lots of exciting experiments. The kit includes everything a novice might need – in the package you will find microscope slides ready to observe straight away as well as tools that will allow you to create your own slides.

Six magnification levels
The microscope is equipped with three objectives and an additional Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification of each objective used. The microscope allows you to observe samples at 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x and even 800x magnification!

The optical elements are made of high-quality transparent glass. For better light transmission, the lenses are covered with a multi-layer coating, which produces clear and sharp images.

Clear LED illumination
The microscope is equipped with two integrated LED illuminations. The lowest illumination is used to observe transparent samples. With the bottom light on, you can find life in a drop of aquarium water or analyze the cellular structure of different plants. High light is necessary for observing opaque objects; for example, you can examine the surface structure of a small stone or notice microscopic scratches invisible to the naked eye on metal surfaces. With two illuminations, you will also have the ability to observe semi-transparent specimens – turn on both the top and bottom lights. The brightness is adjustable, so you can easily change it if necessary.

Easy to use
The body of the microscope is made of quality plastic; this is why the instrument is light and durable at the same time. The head is tilted 45° so that you can observe from a more comfortable position. It can also rotate 360° around its axis, which is especially convenient during group observations – the head can be easily rotated to allow the next participant to observe. For operation, you can use an electrical outlet or batteries.

Caution: Refer to the specification table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110V device into a 220V socket and vice versa, without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V and 220–240 V in most European countries.

Exciting microscope experiments
The microscope is equipped with an experiment kit that allows you to perform a large number of exciting microscope experiments. The kit includes prepared specimens for testing your new microscope, as well as the tools needed to make your own specimens. A useful guide included in the kit contains information on building the microscope, advice on how to work with it and a description of interesting experiments.

Case for storage and transport
The microscope is equipped with a comfortable and reliable plastic case. The case allows for safe storage and transport of the instrument – rest assured that the microscope is protected from dust and shock.
