The rotating trinocular head is practical for professional researchers who spend a lot of time examining specimens. You can look into the eyepieces with both eyes, significantly reducing fatigue. Additionally, the eyepiece tubes can be moved apart to achieve a comfortable distance for the user. The nosepiece with 4 objectives is oriented inwards, so you can see which objective is inserted in the optical path during observation. The included objectives are plan achromatic and the eyepieces have a wide field of view.
The stage features two objective holders. By moving the stage vertically, you can adjust the focus, while if you move it horizontally along the two axes, you can accurately position the part of the sample under the microscope objective. The table is not equipped with a positioning rack, making it more practical to use. The focus of the microscope is adjustable using the coarse and fine focus knobs.
The specimen is illuminated by LED lights mounted in the base of the microscope. The lights last a long time, do not require frequent maintenance and are AC powered. The field and aperture diaphragms allow the configuration of the Köhler illumination.
The microscope is equipped not only with a digital camera, but also with the necessary software and drivers. The Levenhuk D870T microscope is compatible with Mac OS, Linux, Windows, and a USB 2.0 port is required for connection.
