The Redding Premium Handgun 3-Die Set mate a titanium carbide-sizing die, a newly developed expander die containing the unique Redding expander cap now coated with TiN, titanium nitride for added surface hardness, oiliness and strength. The tin coating will also reduce the brass build for the expander control as well, an important improvement for high volume reloaders. The Redding expander contains a series of processes that it provides while traveling in the case itself. First, a ray on its base facilitates entry into the mouth due. Next a parallel expander section expands and trims the case internally to create a perfect support surface for the bullet when it is well positioned. This also adds a more even bullet pull and start pressure as well. Next is a small step, to properly align the bullet with the centerline of the case. This positions the bullet for proper contact with the seating micrometer, adding uniformity during actual living process. Finally, a flare is the final step for the Redding Plug expander control to further open the chest mouth when using cast bullets so that they do not shave lead during the seating process. The final die in the set is a Stay Die, which added Bullet Stay accessory micrometer with unmatched precision and stay depth control. This mold also contains either a cone or crimp roll for the appropriate cartridge. All three dies in the set also feature an advanced lead-in for ease of use with reloading progressive presses.
