This instrument can be used not only to explore an area and locate distant targets with 10x magnification, but also to make a variety of measurements, such as distance and height of the observed object as well as the vertical and horizontal angle of its position. All this is possible thanks to the graduated reticle and telemetric scale present in one of the eyepieces of the binoculars.
The optical scheme is based on Porro prisms. All optical surfaces are coated with a multi-coated anti-reflection treatment, a special compound that improves image brightness, contrast and clarity. You can focus on the target using the large, practical central focus wheel. Its particularly short minimum focusing distance allows objects on the horizon as well as those just a few steps away to be viewed equally well. Position-adjustable eyecups and a diopter adjustment ring help you tailor the instrument to your needs.
The Levenhuk Army 10x40's rugged metal hull is water-resistant, and its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to prevent the lenses from fogging up. There is a 1/4" tripod mount.
