The Ermenrich Ping MK40 digital clamp meter measures not only alternating current, but also direct current in addition to 6 other parameters: voltage (DC and AC), resistance, frequency, capacity, duty cycle and temperature. It includes additional features that make it the indispensable caliper to solve the problems of amateur and professional users.
The measurements are carried out using the true RMS value and the results are more accurate. There is a low frequency filter (LPF) that isolates several harmonics, increasing the reliability of measurements. To compensate for residual magnetization during direct current measurement, it can be set to zero (DCA Zero).
Continuity mode is one of the basic operating modes of current clamp meters. Helps identify open circuits or short circuits. You can also test diodes to identify faults. In NCV (non-contact high voltage detection) mode, the device detects hidden wiring and sockets that contain electricity.
The LowZ function is not found in all devices. When used, the digital clamp meter switches to low impedance mode, i.e. very low resistance. This greatly increases the accuracy of voltage measurements, which may drop due to interference from nearby electrical networks or devices. In LowZ mode, the influence of interference on the measurement accuracy is minimized.
The device operates on standard batteries. It features a built-in flashlight for working in dark environments and a data hold function that allows you to access on-screen readings after measurements, freezing the result on the screen.
