The compact dimensions allow you to use the device in difficult to access places, the screen with backlight it is clearly visible in the dark and the data hold function allows you to freeze the readings on the screen until you can read them. The device uses the true RMS method, whereby calculations of variable quantities are made using the true root mean square value allowing for the most accurate measurements possible.
The clamps measure alternating current without interrupting the circuit . Other parameters measured are resistance, DC and AC voltage, capacity, frequency, duty cycle and temperature. The device also operates in continuous or diode test mode as well as being able to function as a phase detector and dangerous voltage (NCV) detector.
The Ermenrich Ping MK30 digital clamp meter is battery powered, equipped of the automatic shutdown function and is able to notify the user when it is necessary to replace the flat batteries.
